Patch Release: Appway 6.1.3
Published August 14, 2014 by
Stephan
Appway 6.1.3 is here!
This patch release is focused on bugfixes and performance improvements, and also contains two new features.
Before upgrading to 6.1.3, make sure that scripts have been updated for Appway 6
. "Read-only" process instances, introduced with Appway 6.0, are strictly implemented from 6.1.2 onwards. Any attempt to modify read-only process instances or tokens will fail. See System Upgrade 5.3.x to 6.x, "
Process Instance Locking
" for more information.
New features:
Inspect Process Instances Currently in Progress
The list of process instances in the console now shows information about instances currently being updated by the process engine. From Appway 6.0 to 6.1.2, the console only showed the saved state of a process instance; starting with Appway 6.1.3, system administrators can "look into" an in-progress process instance, even if it is currently updated on another cluster node.
Support for Advanced PDF Security
The PDF generation service now supports some advanced security-related PDF features. The data class "PdfRenderConfiguration" has a couple of new properties for controlling the encryption algorithm and permissions, such as whether the user is allowed to print the generated PDF. This feature was previously implemented for Appway 5.1.1, and has now been reintroduced for 6.1.3.
No special actions are required when upgrading from Appway 6.1.1 to 6.1.3.
Note: Appway Release 6.1.2 should not be installed; please go directly to 6.1.3.
