Workspace Collaboration — Release Highlights

Team Collaboration
We're excited to announce the release of Workspace Collaboration, a new product that provides a collaboration layer for Appway's Workspace.
Context-based message feeds and instant messaging functionality can easily be added to your Appway applications using Workspace Collaboration’s Screen Components and Script Functions. Notifications informing users about relevant messages can also be implemented, supporting real-time communication.
With Workspace Collaboration, users can communicate in a structured and transparent way in the context of their work. Furthermore, users' communication history can be archived along with the process or case data, useful for audit trail and knowledge management purposes.
The key features of Appway Workspace Collaboration include:
Discussion
Message bus with index of all discussions
Discussion List component to show discussions matching a given filter and sent replies
New Post Field component to post messages, which supports mentions, links, and hashtags
Script Functions to automatically post messages and fetch discussions
Option to register callbacks to react to new messages (e.g. to send notifications)
Chat
Chat system with persistent messages
Context-based group Chat components that can be placed on any screen
Script Functions to automatically send and fetch messages
An invitation mechanism to allow users to invite additional users to a chat
Option to integrate with third-party instant messaging systems via additional extensions
Workspace Collaboration is an optional module for the Appway platform. It consists of a back end in the Appway core, and Screen Components and other objects in the WorkspaceCollaboration extension.
