What are these warnings supposed to mean? And how to I get right of them?

This is a bug in the validation of screens in Appway 5.3. It has been fixed in Appway 5.3.1.
From the 5.3.1 release notes:
Type: Bugfix
Importance: Low
Area: Screen Editor / Validation
Text: Do not generate false validation warning "Custom Component
implementation is a Control: ..." for all custom control
implementations (e.g. Date Picker).
