New to Appway? The Appway Platform bridges the gap between application development and business process management (BPM). It supports both the visual modeling of a process and its execution as an application.

For an introduction to BPMN, see the Object Management Group's Quick Guide to BPMN.
In this series of five videos, Appway CTO Oliver Brupbacher explains the main concepts behind the Appway Platform and its architecture.
The Appway Platform comes with two interfaces, both browser-based. The Workspace is the end-user interface displaying your running application, or Appway App. The Studio is the space where developers and business analysts model, build, maintain and adapt the App.
Business Objects are the building blocks of Appway Apps. All elements such as processes, user interaction screens, documents, data and business logic are defined in Business Objects.
Data Classes define an App's data model. They allow you to create and manage complex structures of entities and their attributes. Variables are containers for specific instances of this data structure. The Appway Script Language allows you to define and manipulate runtime data.
