Major Appway 6 novelties include mobile responsiveness and support for multi-node architectures. Features incompatible with cluster environments or mobile devices have been replaced and require adjustments during the upgrade process.
To enable clustered set-ups, Business Objects and runtime process data are now stored in a virtual Cluster Storage directory, which can be located on a shared file system, an SQL database or Apache Cassandra.
Several new or improved Screen components are available to steer your app's layout. They automatically adapt to the size of the display device. There are also several new or improved components to manage images and icons, and to guide users through your interface.
