Developer Blog |

After four years and almost 200 posts, the Appway Community Blog is moving house!
With a crisp new design, the Blog is part of the first release of the dedicated "Community" section on community.appway.com. It joins the Partner Directory announced last week, and will continue to be developed as part of the transition to the new home of the Appway Community.
The Developer Blog (as it was then called) was launched almost exactly four years ago today, on April 9, 2013. The first major announcement was the release of Appway 5.3, which introduced (among other things), the ability to convert PlaceholderĀ components into Screens and Subprocesses by right-clicking, and a "paused" state for process instances.
Since then, the Blog has covered the introduction of Appway Certification and Academy e-Learning, provided productivity tips and tricks for working in the Studio, and hosted a series of posts on security and design.
We also shared some of the fantastic content from Appway Sphere 2016, looking at ways to improve Screen performance, topics surrounding authentication and authorization in Appway, and housekeeping for your Appway solution.
The Community Blog will continue sharing Community news and events from our new home, as well as posts written by expert Appway staff on UX, security, performance and optimization topics. You can find patch and full release notes and announcements on our Support News channel, along with other relevant product-specific updates.
What do you want to see us cover in the Community Blog? Would you like to contribute?
Send your ideas to Cate and Alex at community@appway.com!
Developer Blog... over and out.
