From laptop to tablet to smartphone: people use all types of devices in all kind of situations. Appway supports device flexibility and believes that developers shouldn’t be forced to create a separate, mobile version of their solution.
Even though web technologies on mobile devices are progressing quickly, they still lag behind their desktop counterparts. Specifically, the integration between mobile browsers and a device's native features such as the camera, push notifications, and location services leaves a lot to be desired. Taking into consideration that the attention span of mobile users is short, any unnecessary step or lag in performance reduces acceptance, retention, and efficiency.
The key is to deliver a mobile experience which people expect and know: This means that native still matters on mobile. With the Native Workspace, Appway unites web and native elements to provide excellent user experience and ensure enterprise security standards.
Layered architecture
The Native Workspace adds two additional layers to your existing Appway solution model. The secure core layer isolates your solution from the mobile device, and coordinates features such as access to the device's camera and location. It also adds functionality like secure push notifications, encryption of data, cache prevention, and integration with third-party security providers.
Additionally, a mobile layer is added on top of the existing solution, seamlessly replacing built-in Appway components with native user interfaces. Users get access to native interaction designs without Appway developers having to change their existing solutions.
