The latest patch release for Appway 6.2 is now available for download: Appway 6.2.15.
Appway 6.2.15 includes 1 new feature, 3 changes and 20 bug fixes.
JavaScript and CSS file minification
The highlight of this release is an optimization for the Workspace: JavaScript and CSS files previously included in the HTML head are now merged, minified, and sent to the browser with correct cache control instructions. The browser now has to make only one request for the JavaScript code and one for the CSS code, and is then allowed to cache this content forever.
IMPORTANT: In order to benefit the most from this new feature in Appway 6.2.15, you need to install the latest version of the ComponentExtension: version 6.2.19 or later.
Note: This new extension version is not backward compatible! Do not try to install it on an older version of Appway. It will not run.
Process Instance Persistence
Another important change is a fix for a bug related to persistence of process instances. The fix ensures that the modification time for a process instance is set to a value greater than the save time when a process instance is updated. Not doing so could have led to lost updates on a process instance when the process instance was updated twice within one millisecond.
No special actions are required when upgrading from Appway 6.2.13 to 6.2.15.
When upgrading, please go directly from 6.2.13 to 6.2.15. Do not install 6.2.14.
For more detailed information, please see the Appway 6.2.14 Patch Release Notes (PDF) and the Appway 6.2.15 Patch Release Notes (PDF).
